Challenge: Inkspirations Sketch #65

This week at the Inkspirations Challenge blog we are to make a card based on the sketch above. I decided to make a 4 x 4 card and use more than just one circle. I used a number of different stamps and techniques and really liked how it turned out - sweet, pink and soft :)

Challenge: Just a Touch

For day 38 at 365 Days the challenge is "just a touch" - we are to colour only two parts of a stamped image with different colours. Quite a few of my friends are expecting babies this month, so I thought it would be a sweet technique to use on a little rabbit stamp that is a recent addition to my collection. I coloured the rabbit's bow blue, heat embossed it, and then sponged green around the image.

Challenge: Anything Birthday

Robyn over at The Pink Stamper is having her monthly Friday Blog Hop. This month the theme is anything birthday as it is her daughter's 13th! I made this cute little train card for my good friend's son's first birthday. I used MTC to trace and cut the train images (along with their shadows). There is also a stamp set similar to this available from Stampin' Up!

Challenge: ColourQ #79

The "cue" this week at ColourQ is to use Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White inspired by cute dress. I love the combination of the blue, pink and green. I just received the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die and am in love with it :) I used the Old Olive to layer underneith the Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay and like the effect.

Challenge: Birthday Theme

Paula over at More Than Favors is having a Birthday themed Challenge for this week's Wacky Wednesday #33. This is a perfect challenge for this time of year because there are so many birthdays in the Spring - all four of my nieces and nephews, my dad, my sister, and my husband (and myself!) - and that's just in the next few months - plus my own little one is only a few days away (due date of April 12th)! It's a great time of the year to come into the world :) I made this card yesterday for my little niece who is turning 3!

The "cue" this week at ColourQ is to use Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, Kraft, Early Espresso and Whisper White inspired by these "delicious" sweet treats. I love the combination of the pink, green and soft neutrals. Crumb Cake is my ultimate favourite kraft colour - it's soft and yummy :)

Challenge: Feathers

Robyn over at My Pink Stamper is having another challenge; we're to make any project featuring a feathered friend. I am absolutely in love with owls, so I had to create this cute little owl on MTC. I made it into a get-well card (hence the hugs and kisses) for one of my friends as her whole household, including her little baby boy, is sick.

Challenge:

Robyn over at The Pink Stamper is starting a monthly interactive blog hop called:

 This month the challenge was to use the colour black in combination with our favourite colour. My favourite colour is light blue (especially shades of aqua). As it is Valentine's Day, I thought I'd make a card with the theme of love and relationships. I tried to keep it simple and masculine. I used MTC to create the 24/7 image and cut it with my Cricut :)

Challenge: Something "Springy"

Robyn over at My Pink Stamper is having a "Thinking of You" challenge this week. We're supposed to make something that makes us feel great and relates to spring in some way. So, OF COURSE, I had to choose flowers and I went with green because nothing says spring like foliage! I also figured a Thank You card was a great choice for the theme.

Challenge: Black, White & Hot Pink

I made this card for Momo's recent Tuesday Challenge. Along with a colour challenge, we also had to include at least 1 heart. I immediately thought of Stampin' Up!s So Many Thanks stamp with five cute little hearts on it. I've been meaning to create a 3 x 3 card using this stamp for demonstration during my workshop in two weeks, so thought this would be the best opportunity! I think next time I'm going to run the pink cardstock through the bigshot and emboss it though for more interest :)

I used a sponge to ink the edges of the paper and the blender pen to change the colour of the inside image of the stamp. I also used the "fork technique" to create the cute little bow. I usually just tie a knot or skip the bow altogether, but the video I found on Paper Studio Ink made it so easy - you should check it out!
