Challenge: Princess

Momo's current Tuesday Challenge is based on the theme: princess. I immediately thought of both a castle and pink, and of course some sparkle!

Between my nieces and my friend's 5-year-old princess sure has been the theme this year - I've made four princess cards within the past few months for their birthdays. This one will be put away until my 3-year-old niece's birthday in April :)

Challenge: Inkspirations Sketch #53

The inspiration over at Inkspiration this week is overflowing! As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with the sketch and all the designers' cards; I just couldn't wait to start creating my own!

 As I have a little princess birthday to go to this weekend, I thought it would be cute to give the birthday girl a card with a castle engraved with her initials. Pink all around for this little princess, and I have to say I really enjoy making super girly cards!

Challenge: Romance

I created a sweet card for 365 Cards " Imagine This challenge, with the theme of Romance which encompasses love and so much more: courting, chivalry, thoughtfulness, etc. The colours and images of this card remind me of spring which is when romance blooms :)

Challenge: Snow

Momo has decided for the New Year to do something different and have her girls choose some of the challenges. This week Joanna picked it and the challenge is to make something with "Snow" or a "Snow theme". I had a lot of fun making this cute little owl in MTC and cutting it with my Cricut. I love his little snowflakes and scarf!

Challenge: Card from a Sketch VIII

Wow has it been a busy fall! I haven't had time to play on any challenges since the summer. Well, with Christmas around the corner I have been making sure to dedicate some time to crafting - and I must say, unwinding hasn't felt so good!

My current inspiration has come from Inkspirations Challenges' current sketch challenge:

Challenge: Birthday

For Crafting with Cristina's current Companion Challenge the theme is birthday! I was so excited to find this out as one of my good friend's birthday's is in September! Ever since I got the Sweet Sentiments Stamp set from Scrappy Moms I've been wanting to play around with Sweet Treats and thought who would be better to get inspiration from but Lisa over at Live Love and Scrap - she makes adorable creations with this cartridge! I think her card is better - I loved both the colour combination and the use of three cupcakes - so cute! Make sure you check out her blog! Maybe it needs some stickles . . .

Challenge: Colour

The weekly challenge over at A Crafty Little Place this week is focused on colours inspired by Bo Bunny's Petal Pushers line.

 I love these challenges - it's fun to go searching through my paper stash looking for the right combination for the challenge! The little birdie and sentiment came from DCWV Songbird stack (which I am in love with) and the adorable tree paper is from Echo Park Paper's A Walk in the Park collection. I used my swiss dots cuttlebug folder on the blue and white cardstock to add some more dimension.

Challenge: Babies and Diapers and Onesies, Oh My!

Hi all. Momo is having a super cute challenge this week, all centered on baby! Don't you just love all the nursery paper collections? The card I created is actually for a friend of mine who just had a little baby boy. I love yelllow, green and blue for little boys and had fun creating a cute little owl and sentiment using MTC and my cricut.

Challenge: Winged Things

Summer vacation is soon coming to an end *sigh*. This is my first time entering at the Crafty Creations Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is to let our imaginations fly while we create a Z fold card.  The theme is "winged things" so I decided to make a butterfly flower card using DCWV Songbird series. I am in love with this paper stack! The birds are super cute and the colours are bright and cheerful. I've actually just finished making 4 card sets with boxes using this paper stack!

Challenge: Card from a Sketch VII

Another day, another card challenge! A Crafty Little Place has kicked off their term III challenge with this cute little sketch:

My little niece is turning 2 years old in a few weeks, so I thought I would use this sketch as inspiration for her card. She LOVES princesses and accessories so I went with a pink princess theme. I made the fairy princess and castle using MTC (as well as the message inside the card) and the patterned paper is from a Super Girly paper-stack I purchased at Micheal's (which I am in love with).

Challenge: Card from a Sketch VI & Colour

Well, this is going to be a two-fold entry today. Crafting with Cristina is having a companion colour challenge (kraft, orange, blue and green) and Peachy Keen Stamps is having a sketch challenge:

So I thought I'd combine the two to make it doubly more challenging! I ended up making a general celebrate card using a stamp set from Inkadinkado and an owl that I made using MTC.

Challenge: Flower Shower

Well, it's another Tuesday Challenge over at Made by Momo's blog. This week she chose the theme: "flower shower". For the past month I've been working on an explosion box for my parents for their 35th anniversary. Collecting the photos was the most difficult (especially without them noticing)! I learned how to make the box from Canadian Nickel's awesome video - she really made it seem so simple! I used a variety of different tools to create the finished product including MTC for the 35th anniversary message (which I cut out on my cricut), my cuttlebug and the devine folder, all the flowers were made using a Martha Stewart punch (which does 3 flower at once at 2 different sizes). As soon as I read the theme for Momo's challenge I knew I had to use this punch and make a LOT of flowers! I chose the colours specifically because JADE is the theme for the 35th anniversary.

Challenge: Miss You

Paper Playtime is currently having a challenge in which we are to interpret the words "Miss You" to create a paper craft. When I think of "miss you" I think of "good bye" and thought it would be fitting to make a going away card for a coworker. I used MTC to create the people in my department (they look just like us :) as well as the words. The front of the card reads: "Wherever you go, you will never find anyone" and the inside reads: "quite like us." Unfortunately the second photo is a little out of focus.
